Graphic Novel
I created a graphic novel for my semester-long senior project. It’s called The Story of My Yeh Peh. This project highlights my Karen culture. In total, there are 42 pages in the graphic novel. The Karen people, an ethnic minority in Myanmar, have a rich cultural heritage, including folklore passed down through generations. Mu Yeh Peh is a character from one of their traditional tales, and this graphic novel adaptation aims to introduce her to a broader audience in a new format.
At the end of the semester, we had an exhibit for the project. I had takeaways that tied to my book. Below on the right is my crafted graphic novel. At the bottom is my exhibition set up. Each item ties to my culture.
